Tolk

Terms of Use

Effective October 29, 2026

These terms apply to the Tolk app, developed by Ilya Morozov (“we”). By using Tolk you agree to them and to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. If these terms conflict with Apple's agreement, these terms apply to the extent allowed.

The app

Tolk translates speech, text and the text in photos between languages, using Apple's on-device frameworks and, if you allow it, AI translation services. You may use Tolk for personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices you own or control.

Translations are not guaranteed

Machine and AI translations can be wrong, incomplete or miss context. Do not rely on Tolk alone for medical, legal, financial, safety or emergency matters, or wherever a mistake could cause harm. Use a qualified human interpreter in such cases.

Acceptable use

Don't use Tolk to break the law, to harass or deceive others, or to record or translate people without the consent the law requires where you are. Don't try to reverse engineer, overload or get around the limits of the app or its server.

Your content

You keep all rights to what you say, type or photograph. You give us only the permission needed to translate it, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Tolk running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use Tolk means you accept it.

Disclaimer and liability

Tolk is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses caused by inaccurate translations, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Tolk in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
